One of the exhibits at Derby Museum's fantastic 1001 Objects gallery - well worth a visit! Congratulations to DSW members Emma and Andrew, whose entries for Derby Museum's 1001 objects writing competition were both commended by the judges. We're critting Andrew's short film script this Sunday in the education room at Derby Museum from 2-4pm. While we're all busy on scripts and ideas in progress, Derbyshire Scriptwriters is holding another script write-in at Derby Museum this Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. The last write-in we held was a great way for us to get unstuck with ideas that we'd been wrestling with for weeks, months, even years.... You don't have to be a member to join us, just turn up with an idea in your head and a pen or laptop in your hand, tell us a little bit about what you're up to, and start writing - it's as simple as that. Happy New Year everybody! Derbyshire Scriptwriters is back for more script chat and discussion - but this month there's a twist... We're hosting a write-in session at the Flowerpot Pub this month (Tuesday 8th Jan 2013)- bring your laptop, tablet, typewriter, notepad and pen, even slate and chalk - and get writing! We'll be sharing what we've been working on at the end of the session, then what our plans our for our newly created work in progress. In future months, we'll be giving selected members works a full critique. Last year we discussed everything from political intrigue to animated fairytales with a modern twist - so, if you've been scratching at an idea for a story that's been in the back of your head for ages, now is the time to get going - see you there!
