DSW members news roundup- September 2017

Lots of updates from DSW members at this months meeting- Congratulations to Isabel who has graduated with 1st Class Honours in Creative and Professional Writing from Nottingham University- well done! Chrissie has two short story commissions from Erewash Borough Council celebrating the Centenary of Victoria Park. The Heritage Lottery funded project will also involve Chrissie collecting ‘stories’ and images from the community about the park for a future display.  And great news for DSW member Richard, whose short script 'From Scratch' is a finalist in the  National Association of Writers Groups  Ten Minute Play Competition. Great work Richard- looking forward to seeing how far your next script will go!

International recognition for DSW member Richard

Here's a great reminder about how far your work can go when you send it out into the world... DSW Member Richard's award winning Pintsize Play 'It's All in the Mind'  is being revived by South Otago Theatre Society in New Zealand for a 7 date tour of community halls as part of a show called Playing Around along with 7 other previous Pintsized Plays. Richard's dedication to writing and sharing his work is a great inspiration to the members of Derbyshire Scriptwriters- c ongratulations again, Richard!
